My Faculty Antumapu

Hi everybody! How dou you doing? I am fine, and thinking and what i will do in the weekend. Ok but these is not important. The subject for today is my Faculty, Antumapu, belong to the Universidad de Chile, for me is one of the most beautiful faculty ate least in Santiago, Chile.

The name "Antumapu" comes from the Mapuche culture, wich means "Sol y Tierra". Maybe for this reason the faculty it´s so beautiful, because the faculty has so many green areas with many trees, shrubs and flowers that give an essence unique to this university. Also, it has so many places to socialize, relax, read, play sports, study etc. I think that all the university oif the country must have at least a 30% of places that has Antumapu, because the student needs of theses places, if not so everything becomes very monotonous and boring, not only for students but also for teachers and academics who are part of the development and advancement of a university.




In Antumapu you can find species of trees like, Alamo (Populus nigra), Eucalipto (Eucalyptus globulus), Quillay (Quillaja saponaria), Litre (Litrea caustica), many cipreses like Cipres de Lawson (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana), Araucaria araucana, or Pehuén for the Mapuche culture  among others.  
On the other hand, my carrer Forest engineering is very close to the concept of nature, because I have to study the forest, plants, natural resources and all that is in the same place where i study. Because, another point important for this faculty, is the connection betwen study area and the carrer thah you study.
 
And I invite to you to know Antumapu, will not be disappointed.
